Additional Key Fobs Policy
Approved by the Board 2/24/23
For any Tenant requesting additional key fobs beyond the two (2) fobs per apartment stipulated in the Rules & Regulations:
Rules & Regulations stipulates a maximum of two entrance key fobs issued per apartment. A deposit of $10 is required for each of these fobs. The deposit will be refunded when the key fob is returned in working order.
The Customer Service Team (CST) manages all aspects related to key fobs.
A Residential Rental Contract listing two (2) Tenants permits two fobs, one for each Tenant name on the Contract.
A Contract listing one (1) Tenant permits a second fob but Tenant must indicate in writing the name and contact information of the person in possession of the second fob. Tenant must inform CST immediately if a fob is transferred to another person.
In cases of a medical, safety, or other relevant necessity, a Tenant may make a written request to CST for one additional fob. CST shall determine each case on its merits and will record the name, contact information, and role for the additional fob holder. Tenant must pay a deposit of $25 for the third fob and must inform CST immediately if the fob is transferred to another person. The deposit will be refunded when the additional key fob is returned in working order. In general, additional fobs are not issued to persons living in the same household as a person who already holds a fob for that apartment. No apartment shall be issued more than three (3) key fobs.
Fobs will not be assigned to a person who lives outside of North Carolina.
In all cases, there will be no refund for a lost fob. Replacing a lost fob requires a $25 deposit refundable when the fob is returned in working order.
